Quite a few of our matches aren’t being finished,(mine included), it usually means we are having nice close matches which is great. Some things we could try.

If we could be at the courts to warm up around 9.50, so we can start our actual match at 10am.

If you have been off, be ready to return to the court as soon as the current set is finished.

At 1pm , if you have not finished your match, finish the game you are currently playing, don’t start a new one.

If we continue missing sets we may have to look at introducing short deuces. Perhaps if 3 sets haven’t been completed by 11.30, we then start playing the short deuces (get to deuce the second time - next point wins the game). This would hopefully hasten the next few sets and we may have a chance of finishing. Just a possibility at the moment, to be discussed further.

Wet weather- Judy Haes will inspect courts at 9am. If washed out, an sms will be sent to team delegates prior to 0910. If in doubt, phone Judy on 0405 358753. Note: No sms = Game on!

DIVISION   2 / 3

All matches played at Seymour Shaw Park, Parkside Ave Miranda. Car park entry is off Wandella Rd.

Wet weather- if courts are totally washed out, a message will be placed on the pro shop answer machine-
